My customer Charmaine recently admitted to me that she's addicted to making baby quilts and her next batch of quilts is certainly more proof of that. :) This time is twas a stack of 5 that I recently stitched for her. There were 4 of her simple bars baby quilt designs. Each one is a tad bit different depending on the whimsical print and other coordinating fabrics she uses. All have Quilters Dream 80/20 batting and either Glide Turf or Glide Sea Mist thread.
Charmaine's favorite panto design is Stars and Loops so all of these received that treatment.
She always brings some of the most adorable flannel prints for the backings. This one was this cute animal motif.
The 2nd one was more girlish with the pink and purple fabrics. The navy print has owls and smiling moons on it.
Though it's tough to see in this pic, the backing for this one was a soft buttery yellow and white fabric.
Next is another bright version with the elephant print that I've seen her use before.
The backing was another really cute animal print, this time with baby bears, elephants, giraffes and hippos.
Quilt number 4 was another similar girly version with the same owl and smiling moon print.
This one also had the soft yellow and white for the backing.
Quilt number 5 was a total change from the usual. It was this colorful squares on point using the owl and moon print.
You can see here what I'm referring to - that print is just so sweet.
The backing this time was a pastel checkerboard print that coordinated well with the colors in the owl and moon fabric.
The panto is an easier one to stitch so these were finished and ready to be picked up very quickly. I'm glad I'm able to help Charmaine restock her pile of baby quilts so she has them ready to go the next time one is needed.
I know she'll continue to make baby quilts so I expect before long I'll get a call that she has another pile of tops ready to be quilted. I look forward to seeing what design and fabrics she uses next.
