This is the Pink and Brown Rail Fence quilt that I stitched up for my guild's Comfort Quilt program.
The before picture (when I remember to take one) is always a great way to see just how much more the quilting adds to the top.
The stitching brings the whole thing to life.
The fun part of doing charity quilts is that I get to pick the design I use and for this one I chose the Cascade panto. Glide thread in Pink Lemonade was used on the top and So Fine 402 Pearl was used on the back.
I typically get the larger projects to quilt for the guild because most of the smaller ones are done on domestic machines or are hand tied. This one is 72" x 90".
The guild sends fabric for the back that I have to piece together and for this one they sent a combo of the Cream solid and the Pink print. The quilting really shows nicely on the back.
I'm sure this quilt will bring lots of comfort and warmth and the person that receives this pretty quilt will treasure it forever.
