Well, I finally did it. I joined Instagram.
You can now find me at @crayonboxquiltstudio. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it and have only posted a couple of things so far but it is fun to take a peek into what other quilters are up to in between their blog posts.
And No Instagram will not be replacing blogging for me. I like to write and share more of what's going on and the story behind my projects and Instagram to me isn't for that. But the teasers can be a lot of fun too.
I've also got a Facebook page now too.
You can find it here. There aren't any posts...yet but there will be.
I have yet to figure out how to get my Instagram posts to also show up on my Facebook page but I'm getting there one tiny step at a time. If anyone wants to provide good tips on these social media outlets, I'm all ears.
There are also links to my Instagram and Facebook pages up on the top of my sidebar. I'd love to connect with more of you so if you'd like, hop on over and say Hi!
Trust me...I won't be spending all of my free time on either of these sites....I'd much rather be actually sewing, but I'm going to try and share more in between my blog posts. It should be fun!

before you hit the check button to post on Instagram, if you scroll down a bit, there's a share button for Facebook. click on that, then your post will show up on both IG and FB
Thanks. I tried that and for some reason it didn't work. I'll try again though.
You're a brave soul. Sometimes I think I am one of the last holdouts. I just blog. Good luck! Have fun with it.
Hi Michele.... Good luck moving into the media world. I am still back in the 20th century.. I like it there! I don't like this century very much! But I have been working on at least trying to be part of it all... I updated my blog and learned how to do some IT things.... and I don't Instagram or Tweet...and never will. But I was wondering...other than more options to get your blog out there..why have a facebook page...other than to accomodate those that prefer to facebook than follow you via email..which I do. Do your posts from your blog show up on the facebook? I follow some on facebook, due to a giveaway, but seldom read from facebook...best I see... you have to click the facebook post to go to the blog post anywhere so.... is it just another form of getting readers to your blog? Thanks!
awesome! You will love instagram!! you'll find me @laughyourselfintostitches :)
Welcome to Instagram
Hi Michele
My daughter put me on Instagram a couple of years ago when she traveled to Australia. I am not techy at all, but it has been a fun medium to catch up with quilters and others. Like Pioneer woman, and Carrie Nelson. You can find me @happycottagequilter I'd love for you to follow me as well.
I just signed up for yours :-)
Oh so glad you are on Instagram now - I will have to find you there. I'm a huge fan of IG, it's become an addition really!
