This is my 2nd Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge quilt.
I'm calling this one Crazy Boys. The monkeys and trucks remind me so much of all the crazy running around and truck antics boys typically do.
Since Penelope was not playing nice and I was waiting for the upgrade to get done, I quilted this on my domestic machine Lucy. I used the Honeycomb quilting idea from Amanda Jean and I really love the way it turned out. It was super easy and quilted up fast. The only thing I did differently is that I used slightly different stitch lengths and widths.
I put some registration marks on each row with my disappearing marker and then just eyeballed it as I quilted to each mark.

I divided the print rows into 3 lines of quilting and then did 2 rows in each sashing strip an equal distance from each seam line and it ended up being perfectly evenly spaced down the entire quilt.
Yes the binding on this quilt also needs to be hand sewn to the back and it too will be done today during that car ride to the family wedding.
For the back I used the same baby footprints print but the boyish version.
I'm linking up today with the Hands2Help linky party and Sarah's Friday Whoop Whoop linky party.
I'm also linking up to the Finish It Up Friday, TGIFF, Link-A-Finish Friday, Fabric Frenzy Friday and Show Off Saturday linky parties.
