The sun is shining, the weather is warmer and spring is on it's way.
Well...so the weather hasn't been that much warmer but to me 30 degrees is a lot better than 4 below zero.
Well...so the weather hasn't been that much warmer but to me 30 degrees is a lot better than 4 below zero.
It's been a while since I've done a giveaway and since I've been feeling really good lately, I think it would be fun to make someone else feel good too. Besides the other day I noticed that my follower count through Google Friend Connect finally reached 400. Whoo hoo! Now I know that I actually have more followers than that through all the other various means but I can use it as a reason to celebrate if I want to.
This pretty half yard bundle of fabrics is looking for a new home and that new home just might be yours.
They are from the Petal Pushers collection by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics.
Don't they just evoke thoughts of nice spring breezes and warm sunshine? Truth be told...I've been really tempted to keep these beauties for myself. They are very me but I've got more than enough pretty fabric to keep me happy for quite a while so I'm willing to sacrifice my wants and let you have them instead.
To enter the giveaway:
1) Leave me a comment telling me the ONE treat you keep stocked in your sewing space to nibble at while you stitch. For some reason, I've been pondering this lately and although I've kept nothing in my studio, I'm thinking about what I might want to stock in there.
2) My followers get a 2nd entry. Tell me how you follow and if you aren't also a follower through Google Friend Connect (over there on my sidebar) go ahead and join that way too. Who knows...I just might have a need to celebrate the next milestone number that reaches.
Entries will close at Midnight on Friday, March 29th and the winner will be notified over the weekend. I do love to read all of your comments and will try to reply to everyone. If you don't get a reply from me, you should make sure you aren't a No Reply Blogger. You want to have your chance to win, don't you? To fix this problem for regular Google users, go to this tutorial and for you Google+ folks, use this tutorial.
Good luck and have a very happy Wednesday!
Those prints sure make me smile.

I love a little glass of wine with sewing. Not so much that you need to keep ripping out your stitches lol. Just enough to make you smile and keep going if you do make a boo-boo. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI follow with Bloglovin! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI follow you via GFC. Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSnacks in the sewing room must be limited to non-greasy, non-crumby, non-melty variety, so I keep pretzels in my studio for when the munchies hit.
ReplyDeleteI don't keep anything to eat in my sewing room. Sewing is one of the best ways for me to avoid snacking! I usually take a bottle of water in there with me, but that's it.

Hi Michelle I follow by GFC. I don't keep anything in my sewing room to nibble as it is also my desk for work during the day and it is right next to our kitchen so if I do need anything to nibble I can just find it easily. Also if I leave anything out Treacle is usually very interested!!!!! Thank you for the lovely Giveaway. Susie x

ReplyDeleteThose are some very, very pretty fabrics - would love to win them!! I follow your blog via Bloglovin' - thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI sew in my livingroom/dining room and the kitchen is right off it - so I don't need (or like) food around the sewing area. And we don't allow it in our classes either. Can always go into the kitchen to get nibbles or drink - cuz you need to get up and move once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI follow with GFC

ReplyDeletewe are finally out of the "below zero" temps. we are now jumping around daily between 30 and 50. not so nice on the sinus's. but flowers around the house are starting to come up. whoooohoooo cant wail. these fabrics are so pretty. thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteNo snacks for me, I am too messy lol I follow by email.
ReplyDeleteI don't eat while i sew! I'd get food on my fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI keep gingersnaps in my sewing room to munch on while I sew. BUT, I keep them at the desk on the other side of the room so I don't get crumbs all over my pretty fabric, lol. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI don't do any kind of snacking when I'm sewing, but I always have a big glass of ice water near. I can always snack after the fabric is out of reach! Thanks for the beautiful fabric giveaway.... they certainly are happy, spring fabrics!

ReplyDeleteHi Michele! What lovely fabrics. We are currently in the middle of a blizzard so these fabrics remind me of what is to come. I think the warm breezes won't show up here for a while.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the warmer weather and 400 followers! I'm looking out the window at snow that is starting to stick again. I don't really stock anything in my sewing room, but once in a while I'll tuck in a bag of candy that has small pieces: skittles, jellybeans, candy corn. Then I just grab a handful as I'm working.
ReplyDeleteI follow you through GFC
ReplyDeleteDried apricots!
ReplyDeleteWell, since my sewing "studio" is my dining room next to the kitchen, I have full access to all treats! :) I do always keep a glass of iced tea near, though!

ReplyDeleteHi! I don't usually like food around my beloved fabric ;) haha but I occasionally have a little break with a coffee and peanut M&Ms :)
ReplyDeleteI follow by email ...
Thanks for the chance to enter :)
Peanut M&M's - the perfect food. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm a GFC follower & also read your blog via Bloglovin'. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI follow with Feedly and also GFC. I've tried signing into GFC a couple of times today on different blogs and it keeps giving me an error message and asking me to try back later. Hmmmm, I'm assuming that it's not working quite right; actually, it even looks a bit weird on everybody's sidebar!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I've been enjoying your blog for a couple of years and look forward to your posts. Keep up the great work, you do inspire me.
ReplyDeleteI keep nuts for my sewing snack. Usually it's almonds though it has been peanuts occasionally - AND if the cashews call my name in the grocery store, I will buy them once in awhile. I only feel a little bit guilty when I buy and eat the cashews.
Don't generally have food or minchie's in my Sewing room...do take a covered coffee mug in now & then tho. :) BUT...my daughter, in NC, keeps M&M's in a Jar in her sewin'room! lol
ReplyDelete(meant MUNCHIE'S in my 1st comment..lol)
ReplyDeleteI follow thru GFC from way back..and Bloglovin' too.
Congratulations on 400 GFC followers!
ReplyDeleteI keep M&M's in a sealed container, because I know I'd end up knocking an open bowl onto the floor and the M&M's would be all over the place.
I already follow you on GFC.
ReplyDeleteI keep M&M's in there (the main reason I think my 3 year old likes to visit me when I sew) and sometimes animal crackers...try to stick to the non-melty, non-greasy stuff. She was so cute today when I explained that usually, I only eat the M&M's in the planning phase, when I'm auditioning fabrics and thinking..... a few minutes later, she was sitting on my stool, studying the buttons on my machine and announced that she was thinking (as she munched away on my MM's)
ReplyDeleteI follow by email & GFC, but email is much better for me
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric in my favorite colors. i always have Starburst or Skittles somewhere within arms reach while I'm sewing.
ReplyDeleteI've been a GFC follower for some time and always enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteI follow via email
ReplyDeleteI can't keep all my treats by my sewing machine, I would end up with chocolate all over my fabric. I try to take a break when I want a snack so I don't get chocolate every where!
ReplyDeletesuebennett1975@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI keep goldfish in my sewing room. They don't make your fingers sticky. Those fabrics are wonderful. I would be making a pillowcase dress for my granddaughter with them. They are just so fun looking.

ReplyDeleteI follow by bloglovin, And your sidebar.
I don't keep any food in my sewing room, but I often bring grapes in to munch on. No crumbs!
ReplyDeleteI have some miniature chocolate bars in my sewing rooms. So, when I really need some, they are they.
ReplyDeleteI follow via email.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fabrics! I keep chocolate in my sewing room and since I have decided to cut back on it I think what I currently have will keep me sewing for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI follow you through bloglovin.

I keep almonds to snack on in my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I like to keep small candies like Pez ... anything that doesn't leave stuff on my fingers.
ReplyDeleteI follow via Feedly ... and have been doing so for a nice, long while :)
ReplyDeleteI am an email follower. Sewingblogsarefun@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteVery pretty fabrics you are giving away. Think of spring! I don't keep snacks in the sewing area...#1 so I won't be tempted which will only lead to weight gain...and #2 I don't want to stain my projects with sticky fingers! Sewingblogsarefun@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI try not to snack in my sewing room. I'm really sloppy and I'm always afraid I will get stains on my fabrics or crumbs on the floor. During the winter, I sew in our family room near the wood burning stove and the kitchen is in the next room. Easy access to snacks has been a problem. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can go back to my snack free sewing room and lose the weight I gained.
ReplyDeleteI don't honestly stack a treat to nibble! =) I keep a drink with me at all times, but having a snack is not something I usually do with sewing. Thanks for an entry.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog. Thank you. =)
ReplyDeleteSkittles...all the way ;)
ReplyDeleteFor a very short period of time I kept hershey kisses in a bowl. But they just go too fast, now I keep nothing in there, only water. If I were to change my mind about snacks in the studio, it would be grapes or something that if I eat the whole bowl in one afternoon not a problem!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower through Google Friend connect. What a great give away, thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThis time of year I'm a jelly bean addict :)
ReplyDeleteI follow with bloglovin. And I think I might with google friend too. I switched to bloglovin when google started making changes.
