...but it also nice to be home again.
A few days after the end of the school year, we boarded a plane to our destination. Take a wild guess where we went?
The castle is probably a dead giveaway.
This turned out to be a big extended family trip. All 3 of my sisters went too (one was off on rides when we took this picture) along with 1 of the brother-in-laws and 2 of my nephews. There were 10 of us in all. We had Yellow group t-shirts made and we definitely stood out when we were all together. The WDW photographers did take pictures of all of us but I haven't purchased my copy yet.
You can see where the inspiration for the It's A Sister Thing Secret Pal Swap came from. We had this embroidered on the back of the 4 sister's shirt. Everyone throughout the park, both guests and cast members, loved it.
Sunshine ventured into Pixie Hollow and met a famous fairy.
Of course we rode a bunch of rides.
This gal does not do the Tea Cups. Ever! But the kidlets love it.
They were absolutely crazy race car drivers.
We took a lot of pictures as usual.
We added a decent number of squished pennies to our collection.
We met some cool local residents...
...and even a beautiful princess.
Jammer could ride the monorail all day long if we let him. It is his absolute favorite thing about the parks.
It was fun seeing unexpected things everywhere. You just have to stop and look around to find them.
Some snazzy new head gear was tried on but not purchased.
We stuck to our plan of only spending 3 1/2 days in the parks and the rest of the time was filled with lots of other fun like checking out the playground.
We played some miniature golf. We love it and play every chance we can when we are on vacation.
The resort had a terrific splash pad that the kiddos had a blast at.
And we spent plenty of time in the pool. It wasn't very crowded in the mornings.
All in all, it was all about being silly and having fun and as far as that is concerned, the trip was a huge success. It had been way too long since we had gotten away.
Since this is a very busy time for me at work it has taken many days to get caught up plus things here at home are finally back to normal. I missed my studio and am happy to be back to doing some sewing.

Love the shirts! What a fun time it all looks. I don't swim (like a stone) but I could definitely get into those splash pads.
