Today is Giveaway Day x 2!

Update: This giveaway is now closed!

The big bi-annual day Giveaway Day hosted by Sew Mama Sew is here!
I don't know about you but I love winning giveaways and hosting some is fun too. "Meeting" lots of new quilting bloggers is always a good thing.

So what am I offering up today?

The first bundle includes a Water Garden charm pack and a silicone iron rest. I had asked for an iron rest for Christmas but what I meant was the extension that attaches to the end of my ironing board. Hubby oopsed and got me this instead (he really needs to learn to buy from the shops I put on my wish list since they sell what I want instead of trying to get it from someplace else and buying the wrong thing). Anyway his boo-boo is your gain.

The 2nd bundle are these 2 lovely and bright half yard cuts that I grabbed last week at my LQS and a 12" long quarter inch Super Seamer by Dritz. My MIL bought me 2 of these for Christmas, different versions, and I certainly don't need two.

What do you have to do to have a chance at winning one of these two goody packages?

Since this weekend is Mother's Day, what 1 gift are you wishing to receive, other than the love from your family of course? - one entry per person

My followers get a 2nd entry - remind me that you do follow.

Hubby does like it when I "buy" my own gifts for these types of holidays so he doesn't have to wrack his brain to come up with an idea. My favorite gift for Mother's Day that I chose in the past is my Keurig coffee maker. I can't live without it!

What am I choosing this year? I have one specific want need.
I need a bobbin winder to use for my long arm bobbins so this one from K Kraft is going to be this year's Mother's Day gift to me. My new baby doesn't come with a built in winder.

So there you have it, 2 possible entries per person only. International entries are welcome. Please put your email address in your comment if you are a No reply Blogger or you use Wordpress. I hate it when I can't get in touch with a winner and have to redraw a new name.

I'm going to say up front that I won't be replying to all your comments for this post. These Giveaway Day comments typically number in the multiple hundreds and with the deadline for the teacher quilts fast looming, I just won't be able to spend a ton of time on the computer replying to all of you. Trust me that I do read and enjoy each and every one of them though.

Entries will close at Midnight Friday May 10th and the winners will be announced over the weekend.
Thank you to Sew Mama Sew for again hosting this fun party. I can't wait to hop all over quilt blog land to see what is up for winning and hopefully be a bit lucky myself.

I am a new follower. The best gift I could receive for Mother's Day would be to have my whole family around me. Oh and to win your giveaway! I have a Water Garden jelly roll and would love love love the charm pack to go with it! Thank you for the opportunity!

I'm not a mum yet, so I would be VERY surprised if I got anything for mother's day this year! I'll be spoiling my mum though :) Thanks for the giveaway

I would love a lie in! But failing that I would love a really like some more wooly nylon for overlocking childrens clothes seams! I've only got a couple of colours as I was just testing it, but it works well so i'm on the look out for more.

Dee said...

thanks for the offer. I already have my gift as it was combined for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. itis an embroidery kit.

Kelli said...

I bought myself a groupon for a day at the spa and then told my husband he didn't need to get me anything--that would be enough! Now we're both happy. :)

Gill said...

We've already had Mothers Day in the UK!!
I like to have all my children home for a family get together!

I would like something handmade for Mother's Day.

Hahaha I bought hubby a Keurig for father's day last year (because I didn't get one for mother's day)! Too funny. This year I just want to spend the day with the kids and my honey, it's been a busy year so a full day of just us would be a spectacular gift. We'll see if it happens....

My Mr. asking me, seriously, "Now describe to me your ideal sewing room and I'll build it!" It's nice to have wishes and dreams, isn't it?! :)

Of course I follow you, you're amazing! :)

I'd really dig a new iron. Gotta hardwire that into hubby's brain somehow...

I would love to have a serger since I've been sewing more clothes for my kids. Some day maybe.

CraftyHourMom said...

I'm not expecting any gift. My boys are 5 and 3, so I know there will be the usual macaroni necklace or toilet paper roll lovely from kindergarten and story hour... my husband is not a big believer in honouring one day above another for parents - he's great at helping the kids express love through thanks and hugs and gifts at other times all through the year. <3

Thanks for the chance - I have two giveaways going on too: www.craftyhour.com

The best mothers day gift to me would be a few hours for myself to do some crafting, without the kids interrupting me. A whole day would be ideal, but I would be happy with a few hours!

We've already had Mother's day here in the UK, but the gift I love most of all is an outing with my daughter. This year she bought tickets to a play in London. We're going this Saturday actually, so it ties in well with the US Mother's Day.

I really don't wish for gifts anymore. I'm pretty happy if the kids get me something and I don't care what. DH doesn't get me MD gifts; he's always thought it was a holiday for kids to give to their mother's and he's stickin' to that!

I think for mothers day I would love to get to spend some time with my family and my kiddos but then I would love to have like 2 hours of uninterrupted time in my sewing room. With 2 boys under 5 and one on the way here shortly, my time is soooo limited and I feel like I have less and less time to sew (which is no good since I have about 5 quilts to finish, not to mention the one for little Mr coming in July!) Thank would be an amazing chunk of time!!!

I'm expecting an awesome GF pizza [chicken spinach alfredo] from a great place in town, a few awesome chocolates, help getting my flower beds and flower pots planted [temporarily laid-up here], time surrounded by my children and their chatter.
